Rebecca 16 x 12

After seeing some great work from an excellent crop of contemporary American artists I tried a different approach.Using mongoose brushes, which are a little stiffer than sable,
I painted thinner than normal , simplifying the tonal values little more than usual, and using colour instead to model forms.Something I have never really done before.

It certainly has given me food for thought.

G'day Aldo, Great work as usual. In regard to the viscosity of the paint. Do you normally start off painting from thin(more thinnner/medium) to thick?.

Best Regards,

Sam (Australia)
