Sam it is on oil primed linen. This canvas wasn't oil primed linen, so I put two coats of oil primer on first, then sketched loosely the main forms with diluted paint. Then painted directly starting with the man throwing the fish on the dock.
Hi Again Aldo, I dont suppose you remember the palette you used for this painting?. Also for studio work, do you normally tone your canvas or do an underpainting?.
